Have you heard about Canada's Big Quilt Bee? To celebrate Canada's 150th birthday the Canadian Quilters Association has organized Canada's largest quilt bee!! The quilt bee will be held June 14-17, 2017 at Quilt Canada in Toronto, ON. The goal is to make and donate 1,000 quilts for kids at Ronald McDonald houses across Canada! Here's where your help is needed! Lots of quilt tops and 12.5" slab blocks incorporating at least one piece of special Canada fabric are needed. We have a few of the eligible lines at the shop and more will be arriving in the coming months. Prairie Chicks will collect slab block donations and mailing them out for the Big Quilt Bee! Please have all blocks to the shop by April 29, 2017 so we can make sure they arrive on time!
