New product!

WOW!  Back from market, now the ordering begins.  In  the next few weeks Tammy will be placing orders on the new fabric that we saw at Market, LOTS of new fabric.  You will see it in the coming months.  In the meantime, here are a couple new lines we have received.
Christmas Candy by Doodlebug, very cute flannels.

Wild Rose by Marti Mitchell and Maywood Studio, lovely blend of florals.

We also got some new scrapbooking products!  Chapter One Collection by Kaiser Craft, gorgeous!

After Five by Kaiser Craft.

Wood Flourishes

We are also working on our Fall Class Schedule and would like your feedback.  Do you like having most of the quilting classes on Saturdays or would you prefer more weekday classes?  If so, would you like evenings or daytime?  Same for the scrapbooking classes, when would be most convenient for you?  Let us know!

Quilt Market

What a week we have had, idea overload! Sorry we haven't posted in a few days but we have been busy with our class schedules, lots to learn. Here are a few pictures we thought you would enjoy. Sharon and Jennie are a couple of ladies from Australia that we met at the Pittsburgh Quilt Market and got to know them again!
Barb & Lilly took a class from Eleanor Burns.

This is just to give you an idea of how big the exhibit area is, this doesn't even show all of it! At some crosswalks there are flags to be sure you are seen.
Micheal Miller had a superhero theme for their booth complete with a phone booth! Riley Blake had a den for the men. The Quilted Fish ladies had a great mad hatter theme. Here a picture of the line-up for sample spree, and this was even taken at the halfway point! For those of you that don't know what it is, sample spree is a chance for retailers to buy small amounts of fabric that isn't coming out for months! A chance to get samples done before the fabric actually arrives. It's like Black Friday for fabric retailers!

Quilt Market

Sorry it's been a couple days since the last post! We have barely even been in the room! Early morning classes and evening classes after the exhibits are exhausting but fun. We are on our way out to some quilting classes to learn some new techniques, we hope to show them to you too! Sample Spree is over now, WOW! I don't think this will be a flattering description but it was like a herd of cattle that just got spooked, we all stampeded into the sale! Crazy! You'll be happy to know no one was injured in this event. Keep posted for more!

Quilt Market

What a day!! We saw so much today that we are both completely exhausted and yet thouroughly revitalized with ideas! Our day started off on our big bus with an awesome tour guide.

The first stop was "This is the Place" museum. We stopped at the Deseret hospital building in the park for a peek at their quilt display and for a show and tell by a local quilter.

Next stop was Pipers Quilts, beautiful shop!! Nice displays, quilts hanging out front and goodies to boot! What could be better?

Then we went to Gardner Village, a cute little collection of shops. Pine Needle was located here and really got the creative juices flowing. So much to look at, the shop was VERY nice.

Elaines Quilt Shop is set in a beautiful brick building with lots of space, yet still very cozy feeling. Definitely picked up some goodies there.

Quilts Etc. is one shop but in two seperate buildings across the street from one another. We had very little time here as we were running late but would have loved to have stayed longer. Lots of selection for every taste, a real find! After our long day, we decided it was time Tammy was initiated into loving Mexican restaurants. We headed over to Blue Iguana, which is owned by the same people that own Red Iguana voted best restaurant last year. SOOOOOO good. Tammy was not liking the look of the Mole dish though, look are deceiving. It was delicious!

Once we were back at the hotel, it was definitely time to veg out. First class at 8am, what a day it will be!

Quilt Market

Salt Lake City will never be the same again!! Tammy, Barb & Lilly have arrived! Here's a couple pictures of Tammy & Lilly once we had boarded our VERY early flight, and yet they still look so happy!

Once we checked in I (Barb) was quick to set up the computer, ready to fill you all in. We got here early, with nothing planned for the day, so we shopped! Shop hop tomorrow, more pics to come!

New in Scrapbooking

Our busy quilt show season is winding down now and things have been slowly trickling in after our Memories Wholesale scrapbooking weekend in March. Here are a few of the fun things we have been stocking our shelves with.

Glubers are one of the hottest items in scrapbooking from Winter CHA and have been back ordered for quite some time but we now have them in stock. What are Glubers you ask? Well, they resemble a giant glue dot that you can easily adhere fabric, ribbon or paper to to make beautiful flowers and embellishments for your pages.

Another hot item is the Sew easy tool which punches holes into your paper that you can use the many different colors of floss to add cool stitched elements to cards and pages, and for those of you who have been waiting, we now have the handle in (this was a back ordered item as well)
There are 4 different styles to choose from.

We R Memory Keepers Cameos look gorgeous in the center of Gluber flowers as well as add a nice vintage Shabby Chic look to your projects.

Sculpture Flowers from Prima Marketing also make great flower centers instead of the usual buttons or brads.

Also from Prima are these sugar flowers

If you love using masks and screens you'll love these masks from Prima Marketing

Stella and Rose's Hattie, Hazel and Mabel from My Mind's Eye has arrived

We have also stocked lots of new trim and ribbon like these from Making Memories and others

Melissa Frances Vintage Embellishments

Maya Road Chip Pieces and tags

And so many other new embellishments, stamps, buttons and brads that are a must to come in and check out for yourself.

I also want to bring attention to our in store workshop. For $5.00/person per day you can come in and use the workshop. We have brought in many new dies (Tim Holtz) and Spellbinders to use in the workshop. If you buy a yearly store membership for $25.00 you can come in during store hours to use the tools in the workshop for free plus members get 5% off all regular purchases and 15% on your birthday and first opportunity to sign up for classes during our members only nights.
